This small (2,000 SF) home is a study in plan efficiency, spaciousness, and carefully crafted details. A stone entry path leads the visitor to a hand-crafted entry door, the entry roof gracefully swooped as a welcoming gesture. In the double height living room extra-thick, super-insulated walls carve out a sense of weight and solidity. From the dining room, stairs rise to an intermediate landing and then to a balcony overlooking the double height space. Upstairs, two small bedrooms share a single bathroom, while the painting studio doubles as a guest bedroom. A hand-crafted sensibility pervades this home - note the stonework, entry door, luminous, sponge-painted walls and floor tiles, chimney of old brick and hand crafted tiles, and trellis.
